Pre-Owned Patek Philippe Grand Complications 5520RG

Introduced at Watches and Wonders 2024, the Patek Philippe Grand Complications Ref. 5520RG-001 brought a two-tone treatment to the Alarm Travel Time concept established by the earlier platinum 5520P-001. Its 42.2 mm case is predominantly rose gold, with four white-gold pusher tubes accounting for the RG designation. A gray two-tone dial features a larger railroad minute track with tenths numerals, a change that repositioned the applied Arabic numerals and leaves several partially intersected by the surrounding indications. The self-winding AL 30-660 S C FUS was developed over five years to unite Patek Philippe's Travel Time display with a mechanical 24-hour alarm. Its hammer sounds on a classic gong, while the date follows local time. Protected by four patents, the 574-part movement runs at 4 Hz, uses a 21K-gold central rotor, and offers a 42-to-52-hour power reserve. Patek Philippe supplied the 5520RG-001 with interchangeable solid-gold and sapphire-crystal case backs, an unusual pairing for one of its chiming watches. The model was produced from 2024 through 2026 and is now discontinued. Every watch available through The 1916 Company is authenticated and backed by The 1916 Company's 2-year warranty.
