Pre-Owned Patek Philippe Grand Complications Ref. 5316P

Patek Philippe Ref. 5316P joined the Grand Complications collection in 2017 as the successor to Ref. 5216. It combines a minute repeater, tourbillon, retrograde perpetual calendar, and moon-phase indication in a 40.2 mm platinum case whose pronounced stepped lugs recall the earlier Ref. 5016. The increased case volume also supports the minute repeater's resonance. The original 5316P-001 ran from 2017 through 2023, pairing a contrasting black enamel dial and angular baton hour markers with a black hand-stitched alligator strap. Patek Philippe discontinued that execution in 2023 and introduced the redesigned 5316/50P-001, which remains in production. Its blue-metallized sapphire-crystal dial has a black-gradient rim, white-gold obus-style markers, and an onyx-inlaid retrograde-date display, complemented by a navy-blue fabric-pattern calfskin strap. Both executions use the manually wound R TO 27 PS QR calibre, a movement family whose lineage reaches back to Ref. 5016. The current execution contains 506 parts and 28 jewels, with a stated power reserve of 38 to 48 hours.
