The 5270 family debuted in 2011 as Patek Philippe's first perpetual calendar chronograph line powered by a fully in-house chronograph movement, the CH 29-535 PS Q, which incorporated six patented chronograph innovations. The 5270P-001 paired that case with a salmon-colored golden-opaline dial, blackened Arabic numerals, and black hands.
