Pre-Owned Patek Philippe Grand Complications Ref. 5160
Patek Philippe introduced reference 5160 in 2010 after an engraved special-order reference 5159 inspired the manufacture to develop a production model. Its design recalls early twentieth-century Officer-style watches and a museum pocket watch made for American industrialist James Ward Packard. The result is a 38 mm retrograde perpetual calendar distinguished by extensive hand engraving, a hinged dust cover, and an unusually elaborate treatment of components including the crown, strap screws, and clasp.
The original family comprised yellow-, white-, and rose-gold executions with Roman-numeral dials, each believed to have been produced in roughly two or three dozen examples per metal. The rose-gold 5160R-001 joined the series in 2013. In 2016, the white-gold 5160/500G-001 brought Breguet numerals and revised engraving while retaining calibre 324 S QR. The rose-gold 5160/500R-001 replaced it in 2024, introducing calibre 26-330 S QR, a silvery opaline dial, blackened white-gold Breguet numerals, and blackened yellow-gold pear-shaped hands.
Across these executions, the dial arranges the retrograde date above day and month apertures, with leap-year and moon-phase indications completing the perpetual calendar display. Our in-stock Grand Complications Retrograde Perpetual Calendar Hand Engraved includes its original box and papers. Every watch is authenticated and backed by The 1916 Company's 2-year warranty.
