Introduced in 2011 and still in production, Patek Philippe Ref. 5961R-010 is the gem-set evolution of the annual-calendar chronograph architecture established by Ref. 5960. It pairs the manufacture's self-winding flyback chronograph with its patented Annual Calendar, introduced in 1996 and requiring correction only once each year. The 40.5 mm rose-gold case frames an ebony black opaline dial, with baguette-cut diamonds set into the bezel and applied hour markers. In total, the watch carries 66 baguette-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4.92 carats, including 22 on the clasp. Day, date, and month apertures follow an arc across the upper dial, while the large central counter combines 60-minute and 12-hour chronograph indications. Phillips has called this display the "Bull's Eye"; its 12-hour capacity extends well beyond the 30-minute counters used by many Patek Philippe wrist chronographs. Inside, calibre CH 28-520 IRM QA 24H has 435 parts, a 21K-gold central rotor, and a stated power reserve of 45 to 55 hours. Its vertical clutch allows the central chronograph hand to run continuously as a seconds indication without affecting timekeeping accuracy.
