Pre-Owned Patek Philippe Complications Ref. 5960P

The Patek Philippe Ref. 5960P is a platinum Annual Calendar Chronograph produced from 2006 through 2014. Introduced on January 26, 2006, it marked Patek Philippe's first self-winding chronograph developed and manufactured entirely in-house, pairing that achievement with the brand's Annual Calendar mechanism. Its calibre CH 28-520 IRM QA 24H combines a column-wheel flyback chronograph with day, date, month, power-reserve and day/night indications. A vertical disk clutch allows the central chronograph hand to run continuously as a seconds hand, so the dial does not require a separate running-seconds subdial. Calendar apertures form an arc from 10 to 2 o'clock, while the combined 60-minute and 12-hour counter occupies 6 o'clock. The original 5960P-001 has a two-tone charcoal-gray and anthracite dial. Patek Philippe added the 5960P-015 in 2010 with a matt blue sunburst dial and blue-and-silver monocounter, followed by the monochromatic black-dial 5960P-016 in 2013. All three executions use a 40.5 mm platinum case and an alligator strap with a platinum clasp. Discontinued after 2014, the 5960P remains important for its movement, compact display architecture and place in Patek Philippe's modern chronograph history.
