Patek Philippe introduced the reference 4947 family in 2015 with the 4947G-001 and 4947R-001, two 38 mm self-winding Annual Calendar watches powered by caliber 324 S QA LU. Both early executions featured diamond-set cases and crowns, pairing white gold with a blue sunburst dial or rose gold with a silvery sunburst dial. The 4947G-010 followed in 2017, giving the white-gold version a silvery dial finished vertically and horizontally to suggest shantung silk. In 2021, the 4947/1A-001 changed the character of the reference with an unadorned stainless-steel case, midnight-blue shantung-pattern dial and integrated five-row bracelet. It was the first 4947 in steel and the first Patek Philippe Annual Calendar housed in a round steel Calatrava-style case with an integrated bracelet. Its display places the day and month on subsidiary dials, the date in an aperture at 6 o'clock and the moon phase below the center. The launch specification used caliber 324 S QA LU, while the latest product listing uses caliber 26-330 S QA LU under the unchanged 4947/1A-001 reference. The 4947 family was produced from 2015 through 2026, and the 4947/1A-001 is now discontinued.
