Pre-Owned Patek Philippe Complications Ref. 4936J

Introduced in 2005, the Patek Philippe Ref. 4936 was the manufacture's first complicated wristwatch designed specifically for women and part of the second wave of its Annual Calendar models. The discontinued Ref. 4936J remained in production through 2016 and was superseded by the larger Ref. 4947 in 2015. The Ref. 4936J-001 combines a 37 mm case in 18K yellow gold with a recessed diamond-set bezel, diamond-set crown, white mother-of-pearl dial, and leather strap. Its unusually complex dial construction uses separate mother-of-pearl disks within the calendar registers, while the moon-phase aperture is cut through the fragile dial material. Applied gold luminous Roman numerals complete the display. This self-winding watch indicates hours, minutes, sweep seconds, date, day, month, Annual Calendar, and moon phases. Early examples used calibre 315 S QA LU, including a documented watch with a certificate dated April 7, 2008. A circa-2010 example has been catalogued with calibre 324 S QA LU, confirming a movement transition during production.
