Oris Big Crown ProPilots are versatile pilot’s watches, known for their functional designs and innovative technology. A part of the Oris Big Crown family , the design of these timepieces was inspired by the cockpit of an aircraft. At the time of launch, there wasn’t much advancement in cockpit technology, so Oris developed new features for the wrist. These tool watches are neutral, but use color in small accents like on the tip of a watch hand or number. To mark their 111-year anniversary, Oris introduced caliber 111, their second in-house caliber. The Oris Big Crown ProPilot was the second collection to feature this new caliber. This single-barrel calibre features a 10-day power reserve, indicated by a retrograde power reserve indicator. In 2018, Oris released their fifth in-house movement, the caliber 114. Oris Big Crown ProPilot Caliber 114 watches featured a 24-hour second time zone indicator, which includes half-hour differences. This functionality is incredibly useful to world travelers flying to countries in half-hour time zones.

  • Oris Big Crown ProPilot Altimeter

    More than 75 years after Oris made their first pilot’s watch, they introduced The Oris Big Crown ProPilot Altimeter in 2014. This innovative timepiece was the world’s first automatic mechanical watch with a mechanical Altimeter.

  • Oris Big Crown ProPilot Worldtimer

    First released in 1997, the Oris Big Crown ProPilot Worldtimer remained unchanged until 2017, when Oris released a new version with an innovative bezel-adjustment system. To move local time forward in one-hour jumps, simply turn the bezel clockwise. When turned anti-clockwise, it jumps back an hour, even adjusting the date backwards over midnight.   • Oris Big Crown ProPilot Alarm Limited Edition

    In 2018, Oris unveiled the Big Crown ProPilot Alarm Limited Edition. This watch features a mechanical 12-hour alarm function indicated by a yellow-topped central hand. Only 250 pieces were made, so this is an uncommon Big Crown ProPilot model to come by.
