Launched in March 2019, the 5172G is Patek's current hand-wound dress chronograph: 41mm white gold case, three-tier lugs, guilloché pushers drawn from the 1940s ref. 1463, and the in-house caliber CH 29-535 PS with a 65-hour power reserve and six patented innovations. It replaced the 39.4mm ref. 5170, stepping up in size and adding a more pronounced vintage character while keeping the same movement architecture that also underpins the 5204, 5270, and 5370.
