Caliber CH 29-535 PS is Patek's first fully in-house manual-wind chronograph movement, five years in development and protected by six patents. It powers the 5170G inside a 39.4mm 18k white gold case measuring just 10.9mm thick, with a silver dial carrying applied Breguet numerals and a pulsation scale that references Patek's vintage doctor's watches of the 1940s. Introduced in 2013 as the white gold successor to the yellow gold 5170J, the reference has since been discontinued in favor of the 5172G, closing this chapter of the production history.
