White gold, 42mm, manual-wind: the 5070G was Patek's first pure chronograph in over 30 years when the ref. 5070 family debuted in 1998. The white gold variant ran from approximately 2001 to 2007, powered by the CH 27-70 caliber built on a thoroughly reworked Lemania 2310 ébauche, and remains the only 5070 configuration with blackened applied Arabic numerals contrasting against the silver opaline dial. It was also the last Patek chronograph line to use a Lemania-based movement before the in-house caliber arrived in the 5170.
