Introduced at Baselworld in April 2013, the 5227G brought a 39 mm white-gold officer-style case, aperture date, sweep seconds, and self-winding calibre 324 S C to the Calatrava line. Its defining detail is an officer-style dust cover with an invisible hinge, developed over two years to protect the sapphire display back while remaining concealed on the wrist. The launch 5227G-001 paired a cream or ivory lacquered dial with applied white-gold markers and remained in production through 2019. The black lacquered 5227G-010 followed in 2015 and ran through 2025. Early examples use calibre 324 S C, while later watches carry calibre 26-330 S C, making production date and movement important points when evaluating this suffix.
