The Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5226G brings a more contemporary character to the collection's round-case tradition, pairing a 40 mm 18K white-gold case with a textured charcoal-gray dial, black-gradient rim, and beige luminous detailing. Introduced at Watches and Wonders Geneva in 2022, the 5226G-001 remains in production and was launched as the simpler time-and-date counterpart to the 5326G Annual Calendar Travel Time. Its grainy dial surface recalls vintage camera cases, according to Patek Philippe, while applied white-gold numerals and a date aperture give the display a practical, informal character. The traditional Clous de Paris hobnail pattern moves from the bezel to the full circumference of the caseband, where it continues around the case. At 8.53 mm thick, the white-gold case has a sapphire display back and 30 m water resistance. Inside, the automatic caliber 26-330 S C provides center sweep seconds, date, and stop seconds, with a stated power reserve of 35 to 45 hours. The watch was supplied with two calfskin straps: beige with a nubuck finish and black with fabric-pattern embossing and contrasting beige stitching.
