Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5088P is a discontinued platinum Rare Handcrafts watch produced from 2013 to 2015. Its time-only format places the emphasis on a black enameled gold dial, where hand engraving creates volutes, arabesques, or other historically inspired patterns. Related enamel decoration also appears on the case band of certain executions. The reference encompasses several different 5088P-001 watches rather than one uniform design. The 2013 Firearms Decoration execution used cloisonné and champlevé enamel with a Byzantine pattern; it was intended as a series of 10, although research cited by Antiquorum suggested that approximately six were made. A floral and arabesque version from 2014 marked Patek Philippe's 175th anniversary, with Phillips estimating production at only 25 examples. From 2014 to 2015, another execution paired engraved scrolls or volutes with black enamel on the dial and case band.
