Pre-Owned Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5026R

The Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5026R was introduced in 1997 and remained in production through 2002. Its compact 18K rose-gold case frames an unconventional Calatrava layout, with eccentric subsidiary seconds and a sapphire caseback revealing the self-winding micro-rotor movement. Dial executions vary and should be treated as separate watches: standard examples include matte black or silvered dials with applied rose-gold Breguet numerals, while later special editions depart more substantially from that format. Inside is Patek Philippe's ultra-thin caliber 240 architecture, represented as caliber 240 PS and, in later auction records, 240/151. Its off-center 22K gold minirotor allows a thin movement profile while leaving much of the mechanism visible. The reference also carries unusual historical variants. The Macau Handover edition of 1999 was limited to 30 pieces and bears a commemorative emblem at 7 o'clock. The 2001 Millennium-set 5026R-015 uses an ardoise-gray sunburst dial with white Roman numerals and was supplied as part of a four-watch set.
