The Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 4906 is a 28 mm ladies' quartz date watch produced from 1999 through 2010. Introduced in 1999 as the smaller quartz counterpart to the self-winding Calatrava Ref. 5107, it pairs the seven-jewel E19C calibre with precious-metal cases in yellow, white, or rose gold. The Calatrava collection dates to 1932 and is associated with round cases, balanced proportions, and restrained dress-watch design. Within Ref. 4906, the principal distinctions are strap or bracelet construction, smooth or diamond-set bezels, and dial treatment. The smooth-bezel 4906J-001, 4906G-001, and 4906R-001 use leather straps and white Roman-numeral dials with date displays. The 4906/1J-001 and 4906/1G-001 add integrated gold link bracelets, while the later 4906/101 bracelet models combine diamond-set bezels with sunburst dials, diamond markers, and Roman quarters. Strap-mounted 4906/200 variants pair diamond-set cases with mother-of-pearl dials; the 4906/200G uses two rows of 96 diamonds, including an inner row set beneath the crystal.
