Pre-Owned Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 3919J

Explore the Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 3919J, a manual-wind yellow-gold dress watch introduced in 1985. It remained in production through 2006, when the larger 36 mm Ref. 5119 succeeded it. The 3919J became one of Patek Philippe's best-known watches through an advertising campaign that ran for nearly a decade. At 33.2 mm, the Ref. 3919J reflects the restrained proportions associated with late-20th-century Calatrava design. Its defining elements are an 18K yellow-gold case, Clous de Paris hobnail bezel, straight lugs, and subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock, powered by the manually wound calibre 215 PS. The original case has a two-part construction with a snap bezel and split winding stem, permitting movement installation from the dial side. The standard 3919J-001 pairs a white lacquered or porcelain-style dial with black Roman numerals and leaf hands. The integrated-bracelet Ref. 3919/005 was produced from 1987 to 1996, while the rare 3919J-016 appeared in final circa-2006 batches with a gray or slate sunburst dial and light Roman numerals. These executions should be assessed separately, since dial rarity, configuration, condition, and accompanying documentation materially shape collector interest. Every watch is authenticated and backed by The 1916 Company's 2-year warranty.
