Explore the pre-owned Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 4960A, a compact stainless-steel quartz model produced from 1998 to 2007. Patek Philippe introduced the Aquanaut collection in 1997, with models for men and women in different case sizes, dial colors and complications. The 4960A followed one year later, pairing a nominal 29.5 mm case with the seven-jewel E19C quartz calibre, a date display and 120 meters of water resistance. Several related references exist. The 4960A-001, made from 1998 to 2002, was a rare Japan-exclusive strap variant with a blue embossed dial. Surviving examples are documented on a matching blue composite strap and, in one Phillips example, a solid stainless-steel bracelet. The standard strap variant, Ref. 4960A-010, ran from 1998 to 2007, with a black embossed dial, date at 3 o'clock and black composite rubber strap. Introduced in 2000, the separate Ref. 4960/1A-001 placed the black-dial watch on a signed stainless-steel bracelet with a double deployant clasp. Phillips recorded a Japan-edition 4960A-001 as only the sixth identified example at the time, with fewer than a handful previously resurfacing in public.
