watchuwant.com Joins “Shot@Life” Vaccine Drive For Youth in Developing Nations
watchuwant.com participated in the Waldgreens/UN Foundation “Shot@Life” drive to vaccinate children in developing nations.
The Hollywood, Florida-based luxury watch specialist welcomed a local Walgreens pharmacy team to its headquarters for an afternoon partnership in support of the UN Foundation’s “Shot@Life” initiative.
Through its corresponding “Get a Shot, Give a Shot,” drive, Waldgreens donates one free inoculation to “Shot@Life” for every flu vaccine purchased through its pharmacy.
Thanks to watchuwant.com support, all immunization shots for company employees were complimentary.
Through its local partnership with Waldgreens’ “Give a Shot, Get a Shot,” watchuwant.com and its employees received twelve flu shots and contributed one dozen child vaccinations to the Waldgreens/UN Foundation drive.
The UN Foundation, which works to advance the welfare of populations – especially children – in developing nations, launched the “Shot@Life” campaign in conjunction with global business partners, community groups, and other non governmental organizations. The effort strives to curtail and eradicate the nearly 2 million child deaths due to vaccine-preventable conditions including measles, polio, pneumonia, and diarrhea.
Evie Whatley, wife of watchuwant.com founder and CEO OJ Whatley, opened the door to this opportunity through a friend who leads the pharmacy department at a local Walgreens. OJ embraced the chance to bring Walgreens aboard, and watchuwant.com’s Human Resources department arranged for seamless billing of vaccine charges through the firm’s employee health insurance plan.
Walgreens sent a crew of two pharmacists to provide the vaccines, screen watchuwant.com employees for risk, and provide useful information concerning the annual flu season.
While the fall and early winter encompass peak holiday shopping season and demand a total team effort at watchuwant.com, the period also overlaps with the yearly flu season, which stretches from roughly October to early May.
With a full-time staff of over two-dozen working in Sales, Operations, Accounting, Human Resources, and Management, watchuwant’s customer service mission requires an all-hands effort.
