Hey there watch fans!

C’Q here with another update from my corner in paradise.

While taking a look at our Panerai inventory I came across this very interesting white dial Luminor.  Being new to the brand I decided to dig in and find out some history of the 225.

Before there was a Panerai boutique in every major city and on the wrists of the masses, Panerai was only available in or around Florence, Italy.

In 1995 the most popular action star in the world at the time was filming his movie “Daylight” in Rome.  He was searching for a watch that would go well with his character in the movie.  At the first ever Panerai boutique in Florence he fell in love with a 44mm Luminor.  He wore his new watch in his new movie and the Panerai brand immediately got worldwide attention.

After exposure to the world on the big screen, the Panerai brand began to blow up.  Stallone became an avid fan of the brand and decided to partner up with Panerai, asking them to produce a 200 pc limited edition with his signature on the back for him to give to the movie crew and friends.  So that is how SLYTECH was born.

Stallone is credited by many to be the reason that Panerai enjoys the popularity it has today.

In 2005 Panerai decided to create a white dial Luminor chronograph “Slytech” in a limited series of 300.

The white dial is one of the most unique features on the 47mm piece since Panerai rarely makes white dial pieces.  The titanium case keeps the large case light and comfy.  The piece also features tritium luminescence on the markers which is a material no longer used in today’s pieces.

The PAM 225 “SLYTECH” is a great piece for anyone who wants a timepiece with a ton of history.

This piece is in pristine condition and comes complete with all boxes and papers.

I hope you enjoyed this little insight into the Panerai world.
