My Hidden Treasures!

The 1916 Company4 Min ReadJuly 17 2013

Hey there watch fans!

I don’t know if you’ve noticed but we have a whole bunch of new inventory.  Every day tons of rare and unique pieces are popping up so I put together 5 of my favorites below.

1. T Series Rolex Daytona

Zoom Inrolex 1

Ahhhh, the Daytona – one of the living legends of the watch world.  This sporty chronograph is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and it’s time you get one.  The Daytona is a versatile piece going from casual to dress with ease.  I consider this piece a solid cornerstone for any collection.  When new collectors come to me for collection advice, this is always one of my top picks.  This is easily the best investment you can make in a stainless steel watch.  The Daytona always sees gradual and steady increase in value, even for older versions.  The piece we have for sale comes in at $10,995.  It was purchased earlier in 2013 and is still covered under the Rolex manufacturer warranty!  Don’t miss out on this steal.

2.  Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver

Zoom Inap1

The AP Diver is one of the best high end divers in the market.  We recently reduced this one to $13,795 … crazy good deal!  Audemars is the oldest family owned company in the industry.  Their pieces hold value well and quality is on par with the best.  I consider AP a part of the high end trilogy, including Patek and Jaeger, of course.  This fun diver is a great every day wear at 42mm; the rubber strap is comfy and breaths well.  It’s the cheapest diver on the market!

3. Breitling B04 GMT 47mm

Zoom Inbreitling

A watch for the traveler made by the brand pilots stand by.  Breitling is all about bringing instruments for professionals to the public.  The GMT uses the Breitling BO4 movement which builds upon the B01 released a few years ago.  That one took them over 5 years to complete and is regarded as one of the best chronograph movements on the market.

The Chronomat GMT is great for work and play alike and it loves to swim with a depth rating of 500 meters.  This one is a great deal at $5,995.  The GMT function allows the user to easily keep track of multiple time zones … I always have one on when I travel.

4. Zenith Grande Chronomaster El Primero Chronograph

Zoom Inzenith

Zenith makes some of the best movements in the business and have been doing so for decades.  In recent years they have offered some of the most reasonably priced timepieces on the market.  This chronograph features a version of Zenith’s “El Primero” movement.  You have a 30 minute chronograph at 3 o’clock, a reserve de marche power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock and a beautiful open space in the dial at 9 o’clock showing the beating heart of the movement.  Coming in at 42mm, this 18 karat rose gold piece is an excellent dress piece and goes well with any color combo.  At $12,995 you get great value in this one.

5. Breitling Super Avenger Custom Black PVD

If you know me, then you know that the Super Avenger is my favorite watch.  It was the watch that made me fall in love with this industry.  It comes in at a generous 48mm and is a big, strong piece.  This version was customized by the previous owner and was completely coated in black PVD which gives the Avenger a glossy black finish and, at some angles, even looks like black ceramic.  If you’re looking for something unique and one of a kind, this is the one for you.  Priced at $5,495 this one’s a no brainer!
