The 1916 Company2 Min ReadMar 13 2014

As a sales representative for The 1916 Company, we enjoy working with watch enthusiasts to help them get the most money for their unloved watches.

The 1916 Company offers a unique way to get the most value for your watches that you are no longer enjoying and we like to offer some tips to get the maximum value in dealing with our team.

Below is a list of 7 questions that should be answered to help determine current market value.

  1. What is the reference number of the watch? This helps identify the brand and collection that the watch belongs to. It also lets us research the watch quicker.
  2.  What is the condition/age of watch? When and where did you buy it? How much did you pay for it?
  3.  Did you purchase it from the secondary market pre-owned or new? Was the purchase from an authorized dealer?
  4.  Does it have all original boxes, papers, and certificates, warranty card, etc.? If applicable, what is the original date of purchase as indicated on warranty card?
  5.  Is it on a metal bracelet or strap and if on strap, does it have tang or deployment buckle, what kind of strap, what is condition of strap, etc.?
  6.  Is this watch a special limited edition, special movement, is this watch discontinued and collectible, are there any additional OEM or aftermarket straps, bracelets, etc. that come with the watch?
  7.  A picture is worth a thousand words, do you have a picture you can share.

With this information we can form a better understanding of the timepiece you have to offer and to compare to the exact or similar timepieces.   We have bought over the past 14 years to get you the best price possible for your watch.
