Daniel Roth, the man, is a highly respected watchmaker, and the brand bearing his name reflects his dedication to traditional craftsmanship and complex complications. In 1988, Daniel Roth founded his eponymous brand, establishing himself as a pioneer in independent watchmaking. His signature "double ellipse" case design quickly became a hallmark of his timepieces. Roth's creations were characterized by their intricate detailing, high-quality finishing, and focus on complications like the tourbillon. The brand's journey has included periods of different ownership. In the 1990s, The Hour Glass acquired a stake in the company, and later, in 2000, Bulgari took over the Daniel Roth and Gerald Genta brands. Daniel Roth himself left the company. More recently, Daniel Roth has come under the LVMH group, and there has been a re-launch of the brand. Daniel Roth watches are now being made under the direct ownership of LVMH, with production taking place at La Fabrique du Temps watch factory in Switzerland. The brand has a history of creating very high end, complicated time pieces.
