That deliberate choice tied the embossed checkerboard pattern, the composite tropical strap, and the rounded octagonal bezel into one cohesive, high-contrast package. That original black-on-steel combination carried through to the 5167A-001 and the 5968A-001 chronograph, where a sunburst black dial with luminescent white gold Arabic numerals gave the collection its most legible, sports-ready face.
