One Watch…Many Personalities.
Straps add character to a watch. Just like an outfit, they add depth and variety to a classic piece. It takes pure genius to come up with a fashion statement such as the cork strap for instance. But straps dress up your watch in just the same way that shoes dress up an outfit. One watch can have so many possibilities! This, of course, will also ensure that you never get bored as you can change your strap to whatever character you feel like on that particular day. With only a small strap changing tool, the options are endless – if only life were that simple.
That’s what the folks at the Museu do Relogio “watch museum” believe. Who knew that the cork on top of your Champagne bottle could be produced to create a strap masterpiece? This strap gives a cruising on a yacht in Miami Beach kind of feel.
We took a beautiful Panerai Pam 086 E and worked some magic. The Panerai PAM 86 features an exclusive anthracite dial, which is now discontinued and becoming increasingly hard to find. The PAM 86 is one of the most distinct Panerai dials on the market. The entire case is brushed stainless steel and looks amazing with the anthracite dial; the silver sub-dial really sets this watch apart! We changed this watch’s character by simply changing its strap. It’s the same watch but changing the strap transformed the wearer into “various characters”.
If you are in to the classics, then dressing your watch in various leather straps makes a statement during any occasion. A Panerai on many straps definitely speaks various languages. I guess whatever your color preference, there is an alligator strap that will communicate your personality to the world. For instances, I once came across a Panerai with a striking lime green alligator strap.
Mr. Smooth Operator:
With the original Pam 086 E brown alligator strap, the watch exudes elegance and superiority. This watch speaks KISS – keeping it simple is always, and will forever be, a classic statement. This Panerai is graceful and reflects high standards. It represents the skillfulness and respect that the Panerai brand has always upheld.
Mr. Party Animal:
Next is the vibrant yellow alligator leather strap. I think of samba nights in a tropical paradise and sipping margaritas. This is for the colorful individual who dares to be unique and demands the attention of a crowd. Now the Panerai 084 has a pulse of energy, communicating that its owner enjoys the vigorous movements of life.
Mr. King of Industry
Dashing style breaks all language barriers. This unique alligator strap only fits a select number of personalities. This one speaks for the fashion savvy professional who loves to explore the world. I see this personality in Paris, Dubai and even on Wall Street. Now this Panerai speaks corporate ladder climber and conqueror of the world!
Mr. Indulger
This burgundy alligator strap speaks passion. It definitely brightens up the face of the watch. Mr. cigar- smoking, aged cognac drinking man with a love of the finer things in life can be seen wearing this strap. It is a mixture of “old school” with a hint of modern vibrancy. Now this Pam 86 shows a deep intensity. The spirit of the watch is transformed completely.
Mr. Lady Killer
This tan alligator strap has a smooth suede like texture. Smooth and subtle is the key and that is how this individual leaves his mark. Good taste and confidence always come in handy in life and this strap makes it easy on the eyes of the unexpected. The wearer needs to watch out because this watch is pure seduction!
Mr. Explorer
Leather straps sometimes don’t cut it when you want to get down to business. The Pam 086E box set comes with an extra rubber strap for Mr. Sports Junky. Originally, Panerais were made for the Italian navy divers, so Luminors are made to do some type of diving. With a 300 meter rating (about 1,000 feet), the wearer could take this watch on his boat for some light diving such as snorkeling, or go fishing, jet skiing or paddle boarding. Furthermore, Mr. Sports Junky is now equipped to play sports such as soccer or to even increase his “guns” at the gym.
