Hublot Shawn Carter Classic Fusion

It has been a long time coming but rapper/business mogul, Mr. Carter (aka Jay Z), has finally designed his own watch – the Shawn Carter by Hublot Classic Fusion.  This new limited edition timepiece was designed by Mr. Carter himself and is produced by Hublot.

Anyone who has ever heard of Jay Z has to know of his love for everything luxury.  It’s safe to say that Jay Z has been around the block in terms of watches.  This watch enthusiast loved Rolex in his early years, crossing over to AP and now to Hublot!

The new Hublot Shawn Carter Classic Fusion features Mr. Carter’s logo on the dial which is 45 mm in diameter.  The HUB1300 hand-wound movement maintains its thin design at a mere 2.90mm thick.  Two color options highlight the collection including black ceramic and yellow gold denoting a luxury aesthetic.  The black ceramic model will be available in a limited run of just 250 pieces priced at $17,900 USD.  The yellow gold model will be even more limited, within only 100 pieces being produced and priced at $33,900.  Finished with a black leather strap, the watch will  be available exclusively at the Barneys “A New York Holiday” pop-up installation beginning November 20, 2013.
