We regularly purchase a wide range of items from private collections, from significant diamond heirlooms, to timepieces (working or not), unique coins and unwanted gold, and we are prepared to answer any questions you may have regarding the process.
Over generations, we have developed a deep understanding of the pre-owned watch market, and are actively looking to buy select styles from a number of fine watch brands.
The 1916 Company does not charge clients for the Estate Buying evaluation process; and upon presentation of an offer to buy your watch, jewelry, or unwanted gold, you are under no obligation to sell to us. Custom Jewelry Design
The 1916 Company has a 100-year history of craftsmanship, excellence and artistry, which we wish to share with you through our custom jewelry design services. We proudly employ a team of experienced and technically trained jewelers who work in an on-site jewelry shop, and look forward to collaborating with you to bring your jewelry dreams to life.
The custom design process begins with your imagination. Perhaps you have seen a piece of jewelry in your travels that you wish to recreate, or you have something that has been sitting in your jewelry box for years that you wish to modify, or maybe you simply have a great eye for design. Following a one-on-one consultation with our in-house jeweler, we will provide you with sketches of your unique jewelry design, which can then be modified to your specifications. Your design is then carefully executed, just as you envisioned!

Appraisals
The 1916 Company offers comprehensive appraisal services for your fine jewelry, gemstones and timepieces. Upon your request, The 1916 Company will provide you with a complimentary insurance appraisal for any new item purchased in our store. If you are interested in having a piece that was originally purchased elsewhere appraised, we work with a highly skilled and professionally certified jewelry and gem expert, David Atlas, and can arrange to have your jewelry appraised at your convenience. David has combined his real world experience with education from the Gemological Institute of America, the International Association of Appraisers, the American Society of Appraisers, and the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers to offer appraisal services, advice, consultation, expert testimony and mediation in the areas of precious metal, jewelry, diamonds and colored gems.
